Biography

I am an archaeologist and lecturer with approximately twenty years of professional experience in archaeology and ten years of experience in higher education. My research focuses on landscape archaeology, environmental archaeology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and digital cultural heritage. In particular, I investigate ancient settlement systems, territoria, human–environment interactions, and the spatial organization of ancient economic landscapes.

My research integrates Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial statistics, visibility analysis, least-cost path analysis, predictive spatial modelling, and remote sensing techniques with archaeological datasets. My primary research interests lie in the digital analysis and interpretation of the settlement patterns and cultural landscapes of southwestern Anatolia, with a particular focus on the Pisidia region.

I have participated as a researcher in nationally and internationally funded projects supported by TÜBİTAK and have undertaken research and professional training in archaeoinformatics in Germany. I continue to be actively involved in archaeological excavations, field surveys, cultural heritage inventories, spatial data management, and digital documentation projects.
