Objective: The objective of this study was to determine in vitro and in vivo nematoxic effects of cultivated and naturally distributed fruit essential oils (EO's) of Apiaceae species against Meloidogyne incognita. Material and Methods: The effects of 125, 250, 500 and 1000 ppm EO's concentrations on the second juvenile larvae (J2) were investigated in vitro. In vivo studies were carried out in climate room using tomato seedlings at 1000 ppm concentrations of EO's.The number of galls and egg masses in the roots was determined after 9 weeks. Results: A 1000 ppm concentration of Ferulago paucuiradiata EO showed the highest nematotoxic effect with a mortality rate of 83.3% in vitro. The number of gall and egg masses in the roots treated with F. pauciradiata and Foeniculum vulgare EO's was lower. Conclusion: Ferulago pauciradiata and F. vulgare EO's have strong nematoxic effects against M. incognita in vitro and in vivo.
