Özet

Calculations of thermal comfort and thermal insulation and evaluations in civil engineering sector are currently very important subject based on energy savings. The basic important factor for heat insulation in buildings is the construction materials used and their thermal properties. Increasing utilization of natural rock materials in civil structuring applications is making marble materials a very popular tile material as a construction and facing stone. In this paper, thermal conductivity and specific heat values of different marble types were described in experimental analyses and the detailed research findings on the thermal comfort parameters for the marble types were presented. Furthermore, the relationship between the thermal comfort parameters and the heat insulation properties of the marble types were discussed in detail.
