Özet
In this lecture; the historical development of forestry education in Turkey, its present situation, and the development of teaching programs at associate degree level have been analyzed. Forestry associate degree programs have been opened to meet the need of implementing technical staff of the forestry association.The courses and contents in forestry education programs should be reviewed again taking into account the views and recommendations of the forestry organization and the relevant forest industry associations and private sector representatives. Forestry programs should not be opened in universities where there is no forest faculty. Those who graduate from forestry vocational colleges should be employed in the position of personnel who make applications for the land and business environment.
