Abstract

This study has been carried out quantitative and qualitative studies of the gastrointestinal microflora of 34 pike-perch in Eǧirdir Lake 134, strains of bacteria were isolated and identified. Main bacterial groups were Staphylococcus, Moraxella, Micrococcus in addition Aeromonas, Flavobacterium, Propionibacterium, Coryneform group, Acinetobacter. Enterobacteriaceae were also detected. Qualitative examination of the bacteria present in gastrointestinal flora indicated that, the bacterial population of pike-perch will be changed to by water temperature. Total aerobic bacteria number ranged from 5.5×103-5.0×lOβ4 cfu/g, 1.0×104-10×l06 cfu/g in the stomach and intestine respectively. As a result, in pike perch, Staphylococcus and Moraxella were determined as a dominant group that were differed from microflora of digestive system of the other freshwater fish.
