Occupational accidents that occur in working life is the one of the major problems of working life. Today, despite many developments in the field of occupational health and safety, occupational accident statistics are still high. A safe and healthy working environment by providing occupational health and safety practices, plays an important role in the prevention of occupational accidents, increas- ing operational productivity and profitability, pro- motion of corporate image, customer satisfaction and employees to feel good about themselves in the physical and spiritual aspects. Chemical industry is accepted as a risky sector in terms of occupational health and safety. For this reason, if the necessary corrective and preventive actions are taken, it helps not only strengthen the workers health and safety conditions but also pre- vents economic losses due to the temporary and permanent workforce loss or deadly work acci- dents, improving productivity. For this reason, enterprises performance of occupational health and safety performance measures helps to collect in- formation on the current status or success of busi- ness health and safety-related strategies and activi- ties. The scientific criteria for measuring these performances are summarized within the scope of this study.
