Özet

This study comparatively examines the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method and Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approaches to evaluate ergonomic risk factors affecting occupational health in office environments. AHP, TOPSIS, VIKOR, and PROMETHEE methods from MCDM approaches were selected to compare with the ROSA method. The ergonomic problems arising from 8 different office items of 12 participants working in an office environment were evaluated using the ROSA method. The ROSA method was integrated with techniques such as Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), TOPSIS, VIKOR, and PROMETHEE to address repeatability and comparability issues. Spearman correlation analysis was performed to evaluate the relationship between the ROSA method and selected MCDM approaches. The Spearman correlation coefficient test between ROSA and MCDM methods yielded the following. results: ROSA and AHP: 0.79, ROSA and TOPSIS: 0.83, ROSA and VIKOR: 0.98, ROSA and PROMETHEE: 0.74. The study suggests that 98% similar results can be obtained when VIKOR is used to address observer-related issues in the ROSA method. This highlights VIKOR's potential as a reliable alternative for enhancing the accuracy of ergonomic risk assessments.
