Abstract

Especially recently, as a result of the increase in energy usage and energy demand in buildings, energy saving has become a substantial study topic in buildings. The amount of energy used to maintain the internal temperature of buildings and to provide partial heating and cooling in buildings constitutes a large part of the energy demand. Therefore, to decrease the requirement of energy, it is required to minimize energy losses and use energy more efficiently. A school building was designed using the SketchUp program and the designed building was modeled with the OpenStudio software plug-in tool and Eneryplus, to assess the energy efficiency between Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) and Brick. The energy scenario for the two-building material is discussed for Izmir City, Turkey Climatic Conditions.
