Abstract

10 species of Paragus Latreille are recorded from Turkey. Paragus (Paragus) kopdagensis n. sp. is described and illustrated. A key to separate P. kopdagensis from the most similar West Palaearctic species (P. absidiatus Goeldlin de Tiefenau, P. punctulatus Zetterstedt, P. albifrons (Fallen)) is given. P. absidiatus, P. azureus scrupens Stuckenberg, P. coadunatus Rondani, P. constrictus Simic, P. oltenicus Stănescu and P. romanicus Stănescu are new records for the Turkish fauna. © 1997 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
