Abstract

In this study, we report and describe of five adult pikeperch (Sander lucioperca Linnaeus, 1758) specimens collected from the Keban Dam Lake (Euphrates-Tigris Basin) eastern-Anatolia of Türkiye. Samples caught by local fishermen during a routine gillnet fishery were brought to the laboratory for identification and detailed morphometric measurements. This appears to be the first documented record of S. lucioperca from Keban Dam Lake. In this context, it can be said that the entire Euphrates-Tigris basin is under threat of the spread of this species.
